The band was created on 1968 by four friends at the time of the secondary school and university. At the beginning the group was called with some  other names and sometimes also included a second guitarist and an organist. The group  performed Italian songs and English and American rock from the most popular singers and bands of that time. The band discovered Ten Years after and started to play their songs on 1970 and on 1975 the band started to perform exclusively TYA songs. The band made several concert in Rome and the Roman region.

On 1976 Fabrizio and Claudio Rungatscher completed their studies. Fabrizio graduated in civil engineer and Claudio R. in Chemistry.  Fabrizio started working with an Italian Construction Company all around the world, building roads and dams in Africa and Asia. Claudio R. started to teach Chemistry on the Secondary schools in Rome. The band, unfortunately, at that time was forced to interrupt his activity.

Claudio R. had experience with some other bands continuing to perform also, from time to time, T Y A songs.

After more then 20 years, on 1997, Claudio R. and Fabrizio decided to form again the old band. The original drummer was not available to restart to play together, and a new drummer,  Claudio V. jointed the two original components.

Claudio V. (goldsmith in Rome) had several experience since the 1970 with different bands in Rome performing rock and blues.

The new band assumed the name of DIECI ANNI DOPO, the translation in Italian of TEN YEARS AFTER, and started to performs T Y A songs like  before the dissolution.

In the last 6 years the Band performed with success several concerts in Rome and in the Roman region.

On 2003 Claudio Rungatscher , the historic guitarist of the group, left the band and has  been replaced by Fabio Carloni, a younger guitarist and singer, who learned play guitar listening Alvin Lee records. He was the correct persons to recover the vacancy!

DIECI ANNI DOPO is the only Italian T Y A Cover Band.
