The Story of the Watermelon:  

 A dedicated  fan of Ten Years After  tried to approach the stage towards the end of their set to roll the symbolic watermelon towards Joe's feet in honor of his new found guitar hero. The security staff  diverted his advances, so he had no choice but to drop his sacred present on the ground right in front of the Ten Years After alter.
