TIME TO KILL
I travel a
mile a minute down a one way track, I hit the city limits
never looking back.
I try to take it easy shift on down
a gear I’d like to smell the roses before they disappear.
Just
around the corner just across the hill, if I could beat
the clock I’d find some time to kill.
I need a
long vacation thirty hour day, the dreams that I’ve been
chasing are just a step away.
I wish I had a second but
right now I’ve gotta run, I still got miles to go before
this day is done.
